Prosthodontist Mariam Pincus

Dr. Mariam Pincus: I was inspired to become a dentist because when I was in middle school, I actually broke my two front teeth, and I spent a lot of time getting a lot of different procedures done and spending time with my dentist so much, I realized what a great profession it was. What I enjoy the most about our patients at BHD is that we really feel like it's a family here, and we try our best to work together with the patients and create that warm and inviting atmosphere, and I think it really shows in all of our day-to-day patient treatments. I would describe my approach to patient care as a collaboration between myself and the patient to come up with a personalized plan that addresses not only the form and function, but also the esthetics and treatment goals of the patient, and then we work together to find what best fits for each patient. I'm a prosthodontist, which is a specialty that focuses on the restoration of form and function to a patient's smile, so in that regard, I'm most passionate about crowns, dentures, veneers, veneers, a whole smile makeovers that we can give to patients. I like to stay current with the latest techniques and technologies in dentistry by attending a lot of different continuing education courses, take my time either at dinners or different courses throughout the year learning about what's new and exciting in dentistry.
