Visit Brooklyn Heights Dental Where We Tailor Treatment to Your Needs

Severe oral health issues can make simple tasks, such as biting and chewing, quite difficult. These problems cannot be treated through general dentistry and cosmetic options like veneers.

Instead, they require personalized, comprehensive full mouth reconstruction, which Dr. Stanislaus offers at his Brooklyn Heights, NY, dental office.

We can combine multiple procedures like implants, dental crowns, dentures, and more to restore the form and function of your smile. Our team tailors treatment plans around your oral health, budget, and goals.

We Treat Underlying Issues for Comprehensive Care

/

Often, dental problems are the result of an underlying issue, such as periodontal disease or TMJ disorder. Dr. Stanislaus or Dr. Reid will address these concerns while planning your full mouth reconstruction at our Brooklyn-area practice.

Full Mouth Reconstruction Uses Procedures Like These

At our Brooklyn Heights practice, treatment is completely customized to your needs. A member of our team will conduct a thorough examination before developing your personalized treatment plan. Your plan may include:

Consultation

Your treatment plan will begin with a comprehensive consultation at our Brooklyn Heights practice, located near Fort Greene.

During this appointment, we will discuss your health history, as well as review and select the procedures that will best suit your restorative goals.

Periodontics

We will first lay a healthy foundation for your other dental work. Patients who need periodontal treatment can expect healthier gums and teeth with cleanings and LANAP® treatment.

You're in good hands here, because only four New York City dentists can perform this procedure — and Dr. Stanislaus is one of them.

Preliminary Procedures

Tooth extractions, implant placement, or bone grafting may be part of your plan. If you need oral surgery, we will use our advanced 3D imaging technology to plan a safe and precise procedure. We can schedule and perform your procedures in stages to help reduce discomfort and recovery time.

Implants

Once your gums and bone are healthy and ready, we can place dental implants if you chose them as part of your treatment plan. They're a durable and versatile treatment that can last a lifetime with proper care.

Dental implants act as artificial tooth roots. They fuse with your jaw over a period of three to six months in a process called osseointegration.

Restorations

Our dentists can attach crowns, bridges, or dentures to your dental implants to restore any degree of tooth loss. These restorations will look just like natural teeth, giving you a lifelike new smile.

We trust technology like the CEREC system and cone beam 3D imaging to make accurate, high-quality restorations possible.

Understanding the Difference Between Restorative and Cosmetic Treatment

Wondering which kind of care is necessary for your smile? We'll explain the basics.

implant-supported denture

Restorative

Restorative dentistry is used to improve the health and functionality of your teeth. Procedures can address periodontal disease, trauma, a medical condition like TMJ disorder, or a combination of concerns.

Ultimately, restorative problems must be treated so that patients have a healthy mouth and full use of their teeth.

Potential procedures can be covered at least partially by insurance. They may include dental implants, dentures, and periodontal care.

tooth receiving a veneer

Cosmetic

Cosmetic dentistry is used to address minor flaws in your smile, which can be caused by trauma, aging, or genetic factors. These flaws don't impact your oral health or the function of your mouth, but they may impact your confidence.

Because cosmetic treatment is not medically necessary, your insurance will not cover it.

If you have simple insecurities in your smile, you may be a candidate for porcelain veneers, teeth whitening, or Invisalign®.
